Dolomites Via Bellissima, South Tyrol
The dream route through the Dolomites with Florian Harrasser
Which is the most beautiful dolomite crossing?
We asked a local who should know. Florian Harrasser comes from Bruneck, he has been Simon Gietl's rope partner for many years and is a passionate mountain hiking guide. The tour he has planned for us is not included in any hiking guide and is an absolute highlight. It combines the most beautiful spots in the Dolomites, including Lake Braies and the Three Peaks, with wonderful hiking trails that are not too difficult. It goes without saying that the bases must also fit in with the overall package. You will spend the night in selected hotels on this route.

Note on program changes:
All courses and guided tours are conscientiously organized and carried out in accordance with the safety standards of the Vivalpin Mountain and Ski School with qualified specialists (e.g. mountain and ski guides, mountain hiking guides, etc.). The provisional tour program may be adjusted for safety-related reasons, such as bad weather, dangerous conditions, unforeseen natural events or inadequate conditions of the participants. The final program will be decided by the guide on site.
The Via Bellissima is considered technically easy, i.e. it leads along easy and moderately difficult (red) mountain trails. You need Stamina for up to 1,000 m ascent or up to 6.5 h hike with approx. 8 kg luggage. Good preparation for multi-day hikes is half the battle. Get used to your equipment - especially your footwear and carrying a rucksack. The best way to practice this is on hikes with comparable altitude meters. For your targeted preparation, we recommend our intensive training for surefootedness and a head for heights.
You can find information on estimating altitude meters and difficulty information here. If in doubt, please call our office or send us an email!
"The Via Bellissima leads through the middle of my home mountains and connects some of the most beautiful places in the Dolomites. The route is not too demanding, so you can enjoy every stage to the full. You will be thrilled!"
