The ascent from Eibsee via the Wiener Neustädter Hütte is the least frequently used of the classic ascents to the Zugspitze. Even with a mountain guide, it is more challenging than the route through Reintal and less spectacular than the Höllental route. The "golden mean" of the three classic Zugspitze climbs.

Via ferrata courses for beginners/advanced climbers

In the popular courses, your mountain guide will prepare you to climb via ferratas of difficulty A-B/C (Level 1) and B/C-D (Level 2) on your own. You will learn the specific belay technique as well as the necessary climbing technique and get used to the exposure on the viae ferratae.
