Comici Grand Pinnacle

1 day, 1 participant, difficult climbing tour (VI-VII) with Simon Gietl

Private tour with Simon Gietl

The "Comici" on the Grosse Zinne is one of the greatest climbing tours in the Dolomites, if not the entire Alps. First climbed by Emilio Comici back in 1933, you can still expect many strenuous and not always well-secured pitches in grade VI, even in grade VII without the use of hooks. Simon Gietl has climbed the Comici many times with guests. He knows the route like no other and, in our opinion, is the best possible rope partner if you want to climb the Comici. You can expect 500m of wall height and 17 pitches in the steep Dolomite rock. You should have climbing experience up to grade VII and be in very good physical condition.

As a climbing tour of this format can only be carried out in good conditions, you will plan the tour together with Simon and select a suitable weather window.

"The "Comici" is one of the classics in the Dolomites. I have climbed the route countless times and have always been thrilled by the impressive, extremely exposed climbing passages. It's hard to believe that Emilio Comici climbed this route almost a hundred years ago with the simplest of equipment. The "Comici" is rightly one of the best climbing tours in the Dolomites!"
