Ski touring days on the Julier Pass
Dream tours in the pearl on the Julier Pass
In spring you will find optimal conditions for ski touring on both sides of the weather divide at the Julier Pass. Only a few kilometers away from the Engadine, tens of ski touring peaks are waiting for you. Roccabella, Piz Turba or Piz Grevasalvas don't sound very spectacular, but a ski touring mountain doesn't have to be. Rather, it needs slopes with the "right" inclination and exposure, enough snow and, as an extra, perhaps a generous view. You won't find all this anywhere else like in and around Bivio. For over 30 years we have been cultivating this ski touring super tip at VIVALPIN without remorse and without fear of imitators. Because there is truly enough space in the Julier mountains...

"Ski touring at its best! Already in 1986 we have learned to appreciate and love the ski mountains around the Julier Pass. The slopes are made for skiing, the peaks unspectacular, but often with good and usually abundant snow. The Motta ski hut, located at 2,000 m above sea level, is our high-alpine, pristine refuge and the perfect starting point for many touring peaks."
