Learning by doing with the avalanche experts for all snow sports enthusiasts

Risk management on ski and snowshoe tours is elementary for hazard assessment in the winter high mountains. For 20 years, VIVALPIN has been organizing avalanche courses for freeriders, ski tourers, snowboarders and snowshoers. You will be taught and trained by absolute experts such as Sepp Hümmer. Sepp is a state-certified army mountain guide and has been working voluntarily for the avalanche commission and the mountain rescue for many years. After your Safety Day, you should be able to realistically assess the risk in the winter high mountains and behave accordingly. A small side effect: Maybe the insights into snow and avalanche science will also help you to find the best snow and the best descents!

We are offering 2x dates again this year. You can find more information about avalanches on our blog.

Note on program changes:

All courses and guided tours are conscientiously organized and carried out in accordance with the safety standards of the Vivalpin Mountain and Ski School with qualified specialists (e.g. mountain and ski guides, mountain hiking guides, etc.). The provisional tour program may be adjusted for safety-related reasons, such as bad weather, dangerous conditions, unforeseen natural events or inadequate conditions of the participants. The final program will be decided by the guide on site.

You don't need any ski touring experience and fitness for 2h or 600 meters of ascent. The Safety Days are also suitable for snowshoers or snowboarders.

"Even though there is no such thing as 100% safety in mountain and skiing sports, you can actively influence many factors and thus minimize your risk. At the Safety Days you will benefit from the wealth of experience of your instructors and subsequently be competent and with an acceptable risk in the magnificent mountain world."
