Stuibenkopf and Alpspitze are first choice as ski touring destinations. The ascents are varied and interesting, and the descents are in ideal ski terrain. However, ski tours require not only good equipment but also the appropriate experience and/or training. For a quick learning success you get modern rental equipment from VÖLKL, MARKER and ORTOVOX.

Course contents
Improvement of skiing technique: learning skiing techniques for every snow condition
Economical ascent techniques: Walking with skins, track setting, kick turn
Snow and avalanche awareness: current decision-making strategies in practice, equipment, first aid and orientation
Tour plan
Day 1
Arrival, meeting point at the Kreuzeckbahn valley station, equipment check, ascent, ski training on and off piste, improvement of ski technique for all snow and terrain, avalanche transceiver training with modern ORTOVOX three-antenna devices
Day 2
Ascent techniques: Walking with skins, track setting, kick turn. Snow and avalanche awareness, current decision-making strategies in practice, first aid and orientation.
Change of program
All courses and tours are conscientiously organized and carried out according to the safety standards of the VIVALPIN Mountain and Ski School with qualified mountain guides. An adjustment of the approved tour program is possible for safety-related reasons such as bad weather, dangerous conditions or insufficient prerequisites of the participants. The decision for the final program is made by the mountain guide on site.

The DAV Kreuzeckhaus near Garmisch-Partenkirchen is the perfect base for all courses with its unique panoramic location at 1650 m above sea level and its good cuisine. You will be accommodated in camps or shared rooms.
