The perfect preparation for alpine and glacier tours

Your intensive training course for safety in high mountains

This course is the ideal preparation for your next high-altitude tours. In our glacier training course, you will learn all the techniques you need to stay safe on ice and firn.
Under the guidance of a state-certified mountain guide, we will teach you the latest theoretical and practical knowledge.

Overview of the training content:

  • Correct rope-up on the glacier: walking in rope teams of two, three, and four.
  • Effective crevasse rescue: from loose ropes to complex pulley systems to self-rescue.
  • Optimization through the use of modern rope clamps
  • Safety techniques: Building anchors in snow and ice (dead man, ice screws, etc.).
  • Equipment rental: Benefit from high-quality mountaineering equipment from EDELRID, which we provide free of charge.

Top training grounds: The Schneeferner (Zugspitze)
The northern Schneeferner on the Zugspitze offers the perfect terrain for our training. Thanks to the high altitude, there is still enough old snow here in June to train realistic crevasse falls and rescue maneuvers. The terrain is also easily accessible, so we can make the most of our time on the mountain for your training.
