Easy ski tours Tux Alps
Ski tours for beginners and the inquisitive
The Tux Alps are primarily known for their fantastic ski areas of Hochfügen, Kaltenbach, Penken and Hintertux. Just as fantastic for ski tourers are the parallel valleys, which are little or hardly developed. This applies first and foremost to the Weertal with the Weidener Hütte at just under 1,800m above sea level. Here you will find ski tours in almost all slope positions and gradients to the surrounding peaks Roßlaufspitze, 2,248m, Hoher Kopf, 2,373m, Nafingköpfl, 2,454m, Hippoldspitze, 2,643m and many more. As you can see, the differences in altitude are not too great, so there is plenty of time to train your ascent and descent technique with your guide or to hone your risk management skills.
The Weidener Hütte is the ideal base for this long weekend. You can reach it on touring skis in around 2 hours from the parking lot near Innerst in the rear Weertal valley. While the ascent to the hut still leads through heavily wooded terrain, the slopes above the hut open up in a vastness and generosity that you only know from the ski areas opposite in the Zillertal - only here without lifts, cable cars and all the hustle and bustle.

"The Weertal clearly lies in the shadow of the neighboring Zillertal. And that's a good thing. Because in the huge area you will find wonderful ascents and unforgettable descents. Thanks to the many possibilities, you can practically choose the snow quality" Christof Schellhammer Mountain school director, state-certified mountain and ski guide
