Learning by doing with the avalanche experts for all snow sports enthusiasts

Safety in high mountains in winter begins with correctly assessing the risks. VIVALPIN has been your expert for professional avalanche courses for over 20 years. Whether you are a freerider, ski tourer, snowboarder, or snowshoe hiker, our goal is to take your risk management to a new level.

Why take part in the Avalanche Courses & Safety Days?
In our courses, you will be taught by absolute professionals. Learn from experts such as Sepp Hümmer, a state-certified army mountain guide who will pass on his knowledge gained from years of working for the avalanche commission and mountain rescue service directly to you.

What you will learn with us:

  • Realistic risk assessment: Recognize hazards in the terrain in good time.
  • Recognize and avoid terrain traps
  • Correct behavior: Strategies for avoiding avalanche accidents.
  • Snow and avalanche awareness: In-depth knowledge of the structure of the snowpack.
  • Applying the GKMR method (hazard - consequence - measure - risk)
  • Powder bonus: With the right knowledge, you will not only find safety, but also the best snow for your tours!

The provisional tour program may be adjusted for safety-related reasons, such as bad weather, dangerous conditions, unforeseen natural events or inadequate conditions of the participants. The final program will be decided by the guide on site.

You don't need any ski touring experience and fitness for 2h or 600 meters of ascent. The Safety Days are also suitable for snowshoers or snowboarders.

"Even though there is no such thing as 100% safety in mountain and skiing sports, you can actively influence many factors and thus minimize your risk. At the Safety Days you will benefit from the wealth of experience of your instructors and subsequently be competent and with an acceptable risk in the magnificent mountain world."
